I am a firm believer that a woman can never have too many shoes. Sure, you can have too many shoes you never wear or don’t love, but if you smile every time you look at your shoe rack (or room, in which case I envy you), there is nothing to feel ashamed about. Each pair fits a specific emotion or mood and is good for a particular occasion. Not to mention that, just because you already have three pairs of black pumps, doesn’t mean you should pass up a fourth pair that is unique and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ladies…you know what I’m talking about.
If you ever do decide that some of the shoes in your closet are no longer your loves, there’s a new website where you can make extra money, and clear room for the new shoes you’re smitten with. IfTheShoeDoesntFit.com is an online shoe auction website that makes it “easy and affordable to sell, swap and shop for shoes.”
My friend @StyleScrybe over at Shoes N Booze gave it a try, and she finds it addictive, plus the site’s fees are lower than eBay and many other auction sites. She is trying to make room for new goodies and make some extra cash for the holidays, so she’s auctioning off a few pairs of her fabulous shoes, including the Joey O purple snake embossed sandals pictured above. None of the shoes she is listing have been worn more than 3 times, and currently this pair is going for $25 (orig. $140) and the bidding ends 11/16. If you wear a size 7.5 snag them now!
