Hey there!  I’m Anna Bassham and I write Shoe Smitten to answer all of your shoe questions and satisfy your fashion cravings. I started Shoe Smitten in March 2008.  Shoe Smitten, which began as a hobby for me, has quickly become a place for shoe aficionados to read about and share their opinions and expertise about women’s shoes.  The main focus is on shopping designer footwear while on a budget.

Since starting Shoe Smitten, I have become more experienced with social media and fashion blogging, and I now work as ShoeHunting.com’s Community Manager.  Shoe Hunting is a site where people can bookmark shoes they find on the internet and on the streets, and share them with others who can rate them.  If you have a few minutes, check it out – it’s addictive!

My Life

My name is Anna, and I’m a shoeaholic.  It’s been LESS THAN ONE SECOND since the last time I thought about shoes. Oh, this is a Shoeaholics Annonymous meeting, right?  In case you haven’t noticed, I am completely smitten for shoes, and I have no intention of quitting my addiction.  There’s nothing like the feeling of discovering a pair of heels that makes me squeal with joy. I believe that the right pair of shoes can lift your spirits and boost your confidence like nothing else.

Every shoe lover understands the unexplainable urge we feel to constantly update our shoe wardrobe.  Truth is, I will never look at my collection and go, okay, now I’m good. I don’t need any more shoes.  It’s just not going to happen!

While I’ve always had a passion for heels and shoes, only recently did I put my creativity to work by blogging about shoe fashion. ShoeSmitten.com was born out of my desire to learn more about shoe trends and the designers behind them, and to be a resource for other shoe nuts (like you!).

What can I say – I need a bigger closet, like Carrie got in Sex and the City.  My shoe collection is comprised of 53 shoes: a few flip flops, two pairs of gym shoes for my cardio and weight routines, and an assortment of heels and flats for work and play.

Personal Shopping

Are you having trouble finding the right pair of shoes to match an outfit?  Need a fresh look for your wardrobe, but don’t know where to begin?  Looking for that perfect gift for a friend or family member?  Then complete this questionnaire and I can help you shop online!  While I specialize in shoe shopping, I will scour the internet to find what you need, including other accessories and whole outfits.

How it works:

  1. You send me the completed questionnaire, along with at least 10 pictures of your current wardrobe (typical outfits).
  2. I contact you to discuss the shopping plan (deadlines, styles, etc.).
  3. You pay 1/2 of total fees via Paypal.
  4. I will create a personalized file of Internet links to clothing, accessories, and any other resources that will help you complete your new look.  I will find the item or items meeting your personal or business needs and notify you by Email, phone or mail (whatever  you mark as your preferred method of contact). You will receive timely information and will be contacted according to your wishes.
  5. You pay the other half of the total fees via Paypal.

Fees:

  • Questionnaire and Consultation/shopping plan – FREE
  • Personalized Internet Links file – $75
  • Just want to find one or two items?  $15/item (once you’ve approved what I find)

Why should you let me shop for you?

When it comes to shopping, I have a knack for searching and finding things on the internet.  Let me help you update your wardrobe or find the perfect shoes for that special occasion!  Need help finding a gift for someone?  Why not surprise them with a brand new outfit/accessory that is perfect for them?  Whatever you need, I will do everything in my power to find just what you are looking for.
