This peep-toe is a must-have for this spring and summer, glowing with the brilliant pairing of pastels and bright colors. The shoe is made of smooth satin and Emilio Pucci’s signature 60’s style geometric print. The heel is contrast faceted and is 4 1/2 inches tall.
I would wear these with a bright-colored dress such as this Nine West Stretch Satin Dress. With the playful colors in this shoe, you can wear them with virtually anything!
Emilio Pucci
Emilio Pucci entered the fashion scene in the 1950’s after creating a streamlined ski outfit, photographed for Harper’s Bazaar. Emilio Pucci, in 1967, naturally embodied the post war glamour which attracted a new group of modern, active women.
Pucci desired to help in the women’s liberation movement. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Mediterranean and exotic cultures, Pucci included rich, bright color to his design. The effect was playful, joyous, and it was in step with the styles of the time.
In the 1950’s Pucci came up with his signature prints – graphic, abstract designs, swirling in a kaleidoscope pattern and exploding with color. The international press referred to him as “the prince of prints”, who were smitten by his bold, new design and radical approach to fashion at the time.
In the 1990’s Laudomia Pucci, Emilio’s daughter, started making the business her own. 2007 was a landmark year for Emilio Pucci as the Florentine fashion brand celebrated its 60th anniversary.
