Shoe Smitten

Lucky Magazine’s Allyson Waterman gave advice on CBS last week about spring shoe trends, explaining that shoes should be the center of your wardrobe (as if they aren’t already).

She began by stating what we shouldn’t bring back from last year, including ballet flats and toned-down colors. This year, shoe style is all about bold colors and experimental styles. There are so many new trends this year, and they are all inspired by the runway. The main trends include more color, more foot coverage, and sculptural shapes.

Here are some of the trends this spring:

• Extreme Wedges

I like these Pure Chocolat wedges, they have plenty of attitude!

• Gladiator Sandals

Via Spiga’s ‘Bitten’ Gladiator Sandals would add just enough sporty appeal to tone down an otherwise over-girly outfit. They are available at Nordstrom.

• Crazy Heels - By far my favorite trend this spring!!! I am so excited to buy a pair of my own. Check out Marc Jacobs’ Inverted Heel!
  

Another heel-less option are these Junko Shimada dazzling high shoes.
