Going To The Chapel: Bridal Shoes from Badgley Mischka

I haven’t shared this with you until now, dear readers, but I’m getting married!! The date is set for next July and we’re getting married in Reims, France (my fiancé’s hometown). This means I’m on the hunt for a pair of bridal shoes. Well, maybe two! Let me explain…

I have a rather short husband-to-be who fully supports my love of high heels. But I don’t want to be bending down to kiss him after our ‘I Do’s. So I’m thinking a shorter heel for the ceremony, and a sexy stiletto for the reception. Hey, I’ll take any excuse to get to wear two different shoes on my big day!

My ideal ceremony shoes are classy, romantic, and unique. I’m trying to choose a pair that blends well with my personality and that I might wear with other outfits. While I want my shoes to turn heads, I don’t want them to outshine my dress.

For this reason, I’ve turned to a designer known for his knowledge of bridal fashion and chic-yet-elegant designs, Badgley Mischka. Bridal shoes from Badgley Mischka are timeless and chic  and complement pretty much any dress. Here are a few pairs I’ve picked as possibilities for the ceremony …which do you like best?

Badgley Mischka Bridal Shoes

1. The Salsa

A d’orsay pump is classic bridal style, but the Salsa kicks it up a notch with Spanish-inspired rhinestone decoration on the toe. I’m also loving the fact that it has a 3 inch heel.

2. The Glynn

The Glynn sparkles and shimmers, being covered in crystal studs. I like that the heel height is a moderate 3 1/4 inches. It’s all-out glamour in one tiny package!

3. The Dariene

The wedding will be in the summer, and so sheer fabric and an open toe make sense.  Darien is very romantic and soft, and would look great with some of the vintage wedding gowns I’ve been eying. Bonus: I can wear the Dariene long after my wedding with skirts and skinny pants!

4. The Cissy

I like it in blue! The Cissy features soft tulle that forms romantic rosettes attached along the front of this strappy evening sandal. It’s quite the dancing shoe!

5. The Ginnie

I’m a sucker for feathered flair, and this head-turning peep-toe pump would add just a touch of whimsy to my look. The heel is a bit high, though, at 4 3/4 inches…but hey, I’m only getting married once! My man can wear LiftKits in his shoes if need be ;)

6. The Vita

The Vita is chic and feminine, and has a manageable 3-inch heel. However what it lacks in heel height, the Vita makes up for in style.  I love the dazzling bow decoration that’s covered in luminous beads.

  1. This post came right on time. I’m getting married in September 2014, and I’m also looking for stylish shoes that aren’t too tall. My fiance is short, so I don’t want to tower over him. Thanks for these suggestions!!

  2. number 3 is beautiful and I think your are spot on in your assessment. Congratulations and many happy wishes

  3. I’m a sucker for feathers! So I’m totally partial to the Ginnie’s…they’re absolutely fabulous! And a huge CONGRATULATIONS to you! How exciting!

  4. I would go with the Ginnie. I too am a sucker for feathered flare and for weddings. Congratulations!
