SOREL Joan of Arctic Premium Boots Review

It may be a balmy (if rainy) 73 degrees outside as I write this, but that won’t stop me for planning for snow.  I’ve heard we are due for a harsh winter in the Northeast, and it’s never too early to prepare.  When it comes to hardy boots that will stand the test of harsh winter climes, I choose SOREL.  The Joan of Arctic Premium boot is a new rendition of SOREL’s classic Joan of Arctic style, which is beloved by celebrities and Jane Smiths alike.  Elle Macpherson was spotted looking sporty and chic wearing the original Joan of Arctic boots while in Aspen.

The full-grain leather boot features a removable recycled felt inner boot and waterproof vulcanized rubber shell with herringbone outsole for the ultimate protection against the elements.  Standing 12 inches tall and outfitted with a faux fur snow cuff, the Joan of Arctic is ready to shield you from the elements in style.

While I didn’t style these for today’s post, I will be featuring them again later. They are well-built and perfect to pair with any of my cold-weather outfits.  I did wear them for a day and I can tell you they are soft as a blanket inside, easy to walk in and the laces make them adjustable for skinny and muscular calves alike.

The Women’s Joan of Arctic Premium boot is currently available in Cappuccino/Oxford Tan or Black and retails at $195.  SOREL is available at retailers such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, The Tannery and online at www.sorel.com.

And by the way, I’m loving Sorel’s Fall 2012 Campaign, “Get Your Boots Dirty“, which shines a light on inspiring women who are putting their passion and boots to work.  Check it out!  How will you get your boots dirty this season?
