Shoes To Take With You Into Fall/Winter

Yes, fall is officially here, and that does mean that you have to put away your gladiator sandals and flip flops.  But just because the season is changing doesn’t mean you have to go on an all-out shoe shopping spree!  Break out your classic boots from last year (think sleek knee-highs and shearling boots), change the way you wear some of your favorite sandals and pumps, and then you can go buy a pair or two if you still need something (like cutout booties or thigh-high boots).  Make sure you have (my) Anna’s Top Ten Must-Have Shoes For Fall (all less than $150).  Here are a few examples of the kinds of shoes from  www.endless.com that you can incorporate into fall and winter wardrobe.

Guess what?  You can still wear your favorite pair of summer sandals!  You can pair them with  a skirt and tights or leggings in a complementary color, and come fall you are high fashion.  These Missoni Cashmere thigh-high legwarmers are a unique alternative to leggings, but I wish they didn’t cost $345!

Mules or clogs are a wonderful alternative to early season ankle boots.  Wear them with bootcut jeans.  If you’ve already got a pair, great! If not, these might be a good choice:

Flats are another style that you can pretty much wear year-round.  If you’ve got the gams, wear them with solid leggings and a loose-fitting tunic for a casual-chic look.  Menswear-inspired flats look cute with straight or bootcut jeans and a flirty, ruffly top.  Try Witt International tunics too.

Peep-toe Pumps dress up any outfit for work or play.  Simply wear with tights when temperatures plummet farther south than your naked toes like, just make sure the toe seams aren’t showing! I like black lace tights for this purpose, because they are sexy and the seams are hard to detect:

T-Strap Pumps are one of the hottest styles to wear with tights this fall.  Pick a style that shows more than half of the top of the foot to avoid making your legs look shorter than they are.  I love this day-to-night look, with the ruffled plaid dress, black leggings and green t-strap pumps (that are amazingly inexpensive!!):
